Lash Extension Before & After Care

The correct care for your eyelash extensions will ensure they are as long lasting as possible.

Following these instructions will allow the adhesive to cure to its fullest strength and will help your eyelash extensions to form the strongest bond possible.

It is important that the eye area and lashes are kept very clean particularly if you are wearing eyelash extensions, failure to do so can result in irritation and possible infection. If you experience any eye irritation please contact your eyelash extension technician immediately.

  • PLEASE PLEASE remove all eye make before your lash appointment to ensure you get the most out of your treatment time. If I have to spend time cleaning your lashes prior to application, this will shorten time for applying extensions.

  • Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours after. A good tip is to shower before your appointment so you know you won’t need to worry about getting them wet straight after.

  • Avoid all oil based products near your lashes, as these will weaken the bond of the adhesive.

  • For best results avoid swimming, spas, tanning and excessive steam for 48 hours – take care when showering, exercising and opening microwaves, ovens, dishwashers etc.

  • Clean your lashes! Use oil free make up removers & cleansers. We have lash cleanser & soft cleansing brushes available to purchase.

  • Groom your lashes every day, with the brush provided. Especially in the morning & after showering, this will help to keep them looking beautiful at all times.

  • Treat your lashes gently – no rubbing, pulling, picking or tugging!

  • Avoid using any form of mascara or liquid liner on your extensions.

  • Do not try to curl or tint your lash extensions.

  • Don’t forget to book your infill appointment every 2-3 weeks!

  • Its a great idea to use a lash serum like Lash Rescue, which I have in studio to purchase.

Also PLEASE NOTE, if you have a specific look in mind, it is helpful to bring in some photos to show what you are after.
